The school operates a catering contract with an external provider and children are offered a choice of hot meal, with a hot or cold dessert on a daily basis.

At the moment the Government provide Universal Free School Meals to all children in Reception to the end of Year 2.
From Year 3 onwards, meals are charged for. There is also an online payment system. More information is available from the school office.
Money should be sent to school on the first school day covering the cost for the week. Each child’s money (or cheque) should be in an envelope with name and amount of money enclosed. Half termly cheques, in advance, made payable to Tubbenden Primary School, are welcomed.
Alternatively, children may bring a packed lunch from home. Lunch boxes should be clearly labelled.
At morning play a piece of free fruit is offered to all infant pupils. Junior pupils may bring a piece of fruit or other healthy snack. All children may bring a water bottle. Sweets are not allowed in school.
