Tubbenden Primary School

Tubbenden Nursery

Welcome to Tubbenden Nursery

Tubbenden Nursery provides exciting Early Years education to children from 3 to 5 years with some opportunity for children to start at 2 years old providing they are 3 years old prior to the start of the ‘Spring Term’.

Located within the main school in a purpose-built classroom with free-flow access to a secure outdoor area, toileting facilities and own entrance, the Nursery is an inviting and engaging space for children to explore all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum supported by qualified and passionate practitioners.

The children enjoy a range of activities that include free-flow access to outdoor play, creative exploration and daily PE sessions. We also have access to all of the school facilities and opportunities such as annual pantomimes, fundraising events and music/reading workshops.

We regularly use outside specialists to enhance provision and provide such opportunities as weekly yoga sessions, sensory classes and multisport activities depending on the interests of the children.

We have created a specially designed curriculum plan to support the children's learning and development through high quality interactions and meticulously planned activities.

Children are provided with a healthy snack each session such as fruit or vegetables and there are many opportunities to explore ‘healthy eating’ through cooking activities.

Partnership working with parents and carers is central to the Nursery ethos and we offer many oppertunities for parents and carers to become involved with their child's time at Nursery such as weekly newsletters sent via our communication platform SeeSaw and special events that invite parents in to the setting to participate in themed activities.
